Daily & Weekend Activities

Within our program at El Portal Spanish School, we offer our students social and cultural activities through which the Spanish language will be practiced and Guatemalan culture can be shared. We offer regularly planned activities outside of scheduled classes. Most activities fall during the afternoon, however some can only be done in the morning and can then act as a field trip with our instructors. An example of this is a trip to San Fransisco El Alto, the largest market in all of Central America that is only a 45 minute bus ride away from Xela. We also offer our students salsa classes, cooking classes, conferences, movies and K’iche classes. Through El Portal Spanish School we also offer special travel packages to volcano hikes, trips to Antigua, Panajachel, and other locations through agency contacts that we have. We exclusively offer our students these special rate.
